Thank you for taking the time to visit our website.  We are a regional organization working to ensure that our votes are protected.  With the roll-out all over the country of paperless electronic voting machines, computer science experts have warned that our elections are now subject to mass fraud, technical misprogramming that can change entire elections, and other horrible scenarios. 

This is a national security risk for our nation to have such poor voting systems.  With any voting system we must have a voter-verified paper ballot, a random audit to compare the actual ballots to the machine counts, and other safeguards. The best way to do this is for each state to pass good legislation. So far in the South only North Carolina has joined the other 27 states in the country requiring a paper trail and the other 14 states that require a random check to make sure the paper matches the machine totals.  Florida and Maryland are now on their way but there is much ground to be covered before successful implementation and funding occurs.  Please read all about the main issues involved with the voting machines and the fight to protect our votes.
